When it comes to frequent customers, there’s seldom little more exciting than a new A La Carte menu, especially one that utilises fresh ingredients and intuitive creativity in order to design something totally unique. As always, Chef Joseph Rawlins has blown his clients away with a typically expressive, yet controlled, menu that includes everything from beautiful cuts of venison to the stunning Kohlrabi Espuma.
Starters
We don’t have time to go into every single starter and every single aspect of said starter, so what I will do is highlight some personal favourites. The Scottish Langoustines are to die for. Accompanied by a delectable champagne espuma, these langoustines were harvested from the famously clean and rich waters of the Scottish coast and are delivered to La Popote as quickly as possible in order to ensure freshness and flavour. For those not a fan of seafood, the Roasted Chicken Leg and Foie Gras Terrine could be the simple and effective solution to satisfying your starter-appetite. This dish is completed by bergamot and earl grey, as well as puffed rice and crispy chicken skin.
Mains
The Presa Iberico Pork takes precedence on our A La Carte menu, dished up with bell pepper coulis, stuffed roscof onion with mushroom ragu and swish chard. This meal is for meat lovers everywhere, with presa being considered the finest cut of meat from the Iberian Pig. Native to Portugal and Southern Spain, the black Iberian pig is loved by foodies everywhere. And who could forget the venison? Considered the most ethically sourced meat available in the UK, we complete this dish with carrot and swede, baby turnips, and a port and blackberry sauce.
Desserts
Our dessert menu includes the dark chocolate ganache, poached forced Yorkshire rhubarb, and tropical rum baba, amongst others. You can find our full A La Carte menu online here.
