Beef Wellington is believed to have been first conjured by Arthur Wellesley, the 1st Duke of Wellington. Beef Wellington is a dish traditionally comprised of beef tenderloin and wrapped in puff pastry. Legend holds that the dish was first served to the Duke and his troops after their victory at the Battle of Waterloo. It is rumoured that the Duke discovered the precursor to this famous dish during his time in France, where they had been experimenting with meat and pastry for some time.
Our Beef (or Salmon) Wellington will be completed by a choice of Starters and Desserts, including Chicken Liver Pate and Pink Lady Apple Tarte Tatin. The full menu can be found online now.
